A father and son were caught trying to smuggle £900,000 of cannabis into Scotland.

Stephen Harding, 67, and Bradley Harding, 37, were stopped at Glasgow Airport by Border Force officials on November 23, 2024.

The pair, who had travelled from Thailand, had four cases between them.

The luggage was checked, and the dad was asked if he knew what was inside.

He replied: “I have a good idea.”

The High Court in Glasgow heard there were dozens of vacuum-sealed packages of green herbal material stashed inside the cases.

Prosecutor Jennifer Nicholson-White said the potential value of the huge drug haul was more than £903,000.

The Hardings, of Tamworth, Staffordshire, pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

The dad was remanded in custody. Bradley is already serving a sentence in an unrelated case.

Lord Scott deferred sentencing until next month for reports.
