The family of a man who was reported missing in November have been informed after a body was found in North Lanarkshire.
John Miller was reported missing from Cumbernauld after last being seen on Monday November 10.
Police said the 48-year-old had links to the east end of Glasgow and was also known to fish in the Lochearnhead area.
Officers received a report of a body being found in woods near Hillcrest Terrace, Cumbernauld, at around 4.25pm on Sunday.
While formal identification is yet to take place, Mr Miller’s family have been informed.
Police said the death is being treated as unexplained and there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
