The family of a missing man is “crying out for help” after almost a week since he was last seen.

Corry Ferguson was reported missing from Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, by family on Thursday, March 3.

The 26-year-old was last seen at 9.35am on Tuesday, March, inside the Spar shop on the town’s Wheatley Road.

At the time he was wearing a black parka jacket, green hoody, grey jogger bottoms, white trainers and a black baseball cap.

He is described as 6ft, of slim build, with brown hair and blue eyes.

On Sunday, family and volunteers gathered at Stevenston Community Centre to search for Mr Ferguson.

Sergeant Fisher of Saltcoats Police Office said: “Corry is generally quite a quiet, introverted person, however his family have not been able to contact him for a number of days and are becoming concerned for his wellbeing.

“We would like to trace him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.”

“We would also appeal to Corry himself to get in touch should he see this appeal.”

On a page set up to aid the search for Mr Ferguson, his family wrote: “We are a family crying out for help to get this much loved boy home safe where he belongs and any help we can get is greatly appreciated.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Saltcoats Police Office on 101 quoting incident number 1113 of March 3, 2022.
