The family of a man who has been missing for three days say they are “extremely worried” for his welfare.
Police are searching for Stuart Wilson, who was last seen leaving his home address in Motherwell in the early hours of Saturday.
The 48-year-old is described as white Scottish, about 5’8″, with a slim build, brown eyes, and greying black hair.
When last seen, he was wearing a black thigh-length jacket, black jeans or trousers, black “Skecher” style trainers, and a grey chunky scarf, and he may have in his possession a black rucksack.
Investigations so far have revealed that Stuart may have visited the Esso Mason Hill/Spar store on Hillfoot Road, Ayr.
His family have issued an appeal for information on his whereabouts on social media, describing his behaviour as “out of character”.
If anyone has seen Stuart or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, they are asked to contact police by calling 101.
