Family ‘extremely concerned’ for missing woman from Ayr Police Scotland

Police are appealing for help after a family said they were “extremely concerned” about a woman reported missing from Ayr.

Anne McNeillie was last seen around 7.30am on Sunday morning in Bellesleyhill Avenue.

The 58-year-old is around 5ft 7 to 5ft 8 and is described as having a slim to medium build.

She has dark brown shoulder-length hair and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured bubble jacket and leggings.

Officers have been carrying out enquiries and have checked local CCTV footage have failed to locate Anne.

Sergeant Terry McEwan said: “It is very unlike Anne to go off and not be in touch with her family. They are extremely concerned and just want her home safe and well.

“I am asking anyone who may have seen her to contact us. If anyone has any knowledge about Anne or her whereabouts, please get in touch with us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1941 of June 16.
