The Erskine Bridge remains closed on Monday morning due to “over-running essential works.”

The northbound carriageway was shut overnight for maintenance work.

However, Traffic Scotland says there is “currently no estimated time for the road to reopen”, and the work is running over schedule.

Road users have been urged to follow the diversions that are in place.

Traffic Scotland said: “Due to over-running essential works, the #A898 Erskine Bridge will remain CLOSED Northbound.

“There is currently no estimated time for the road to reopen.

“There is currently no delays on diversion routes.”
