Emergency services at scene of 'serious' crash as road closed

A section of road in Glasgow’s West End has been closed following a serious crash.

Emergency services were called to Kirklee Road at around 4.10pm on Thursday. The road has been closed at its junction with Ford Road and Bellshaugh Road.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area as emergency services remain on the scene.

The nature of any injuries is not known.

A police spokesperson said: “Kirklee Road in Glasgow is currently closed following a serious road traffic crash which officers were called to around 4.10pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

“Kirklee Road at its junction with Ford Road and Bellshaugh Road are also closed and motorists are asked to find alternative routes.

“Emergency services remain at the scene.”
