Police ScotlandAn elderly man has died in hospital after being hit by a car in Renfrewshire.
A red Toyota Corolla struck John Allan on Beith Road in Johnstone around 8.30am on Sunday, December 29.
The 85-year-old was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died from his injuries on New Year’s Eve.
Sergeant Paul Mellis of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with John’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries into the crash are continuing. I would appeal to anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact us through 101 quoting incident number 0814 of December 29, 2024.”
