An elderly man is in hospital after being hit by a car while on his bike in Eaglesham.
Emergency services were called to Polnoon Street around 10am after the 74-year-old was knocked down by a Fiat.
The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The driver was uninjured but has been described as extremely upset following the incident.
The road was closed to allow for an investigation to be carried out.
Sergeant Chris McColm of Glasgow Road Policing said: “As our inquiries continue, I would appeal to anyone who has not yet spoken to us to get in touch.
“I would also ask people with any recorded footage to review it and pass it on to us to assess its relevance. Any small piece of information could help us confirm the full circumstances of what has happened.”
