A cannabis farm with a street value of £800,000 has been seized by police in East Ayrshire.

Acting on a warrant, Ayrshire’s Proactive Crime Team swooped in on the property in Patna on Monday.

They discovered the cultivation, which had an estimated street value of £800,000 and enquiries into the haul are ongoing.

Police Scotland are appealing to the public for any information on the cannabis farm that could help with their investigation.

Detective inspector Grant Currie, Ayrshire Pro-Active CID, said: “Our enquiries into the cultivation are ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information that could assist to contact us as soon as possible.

“Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the illicit supply of drugs in our communities and we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
