A major road in Glasgow has been closed after a woman was hit by a bus.

The female pedestrian was knocked down on Dumbarton Road at around 6.05pm on Wednesday.

Emergency services are on the scene at the junction with Queen Victoria Drive in the Scotstoun area of the city.

The woman’s condition is not currently known.

Dumbarton Road is currently closed to all eastbound/citybound traffic at the junction.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a collision between a female pedestrian and a bus on Dumbarton Road around 6.05pm on Wednesday, September 21.

“Emergency services are at the scene and the road is currently closed.”
