Drivers are being warned of foggy conditions on Scotland’s roads as traffic on the M73 was disrupted by a rush hour crash.

Reduced visibility on Tuesday morning was reported across the network, with drivers facing delays and congestion after a multi-vehicle crash.

The collision, near Broomhouse, restricted drivers heading south between junctions one and two before the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder.

Delays on the M73 are up to 18 minutes, Traffic Scotland said.

Meanwhile, a number of Calmac services on Tuesday morning were disrupted due to “adverse weather”.

Due to reduced visibility, the Gourock to Dunoon service is liable to cancellation at short notice.

BEAR Scotland in the North West said on X: “All treatments complete on the NW with patrols still out on the network. Still very cold conditions.”
