A number of streets in Glasgow city centre are closed on Friday after a dangerous building was identified.

The local authority has confirmed a section of the city’s Argyle Street, Queen Street and Mitchell Street are shut after the hazard was discovered on Queen Street.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area. It comes on the so-called “Mad Friday” – the Friday before Christmas Eve, when thousands begin travelling for the festive season and shops reach their busiest.
