The A85 has been closed in both directions after a crash involving a motorcycle near a village in Argyll and Bute.

Emergency services were called to the road near Arrivain, west of Tyndrum, at around 4.15pm on Friday.

It is unknown at this stage if there are any casualties.

Traffic Scotland confirmed the road remains closed and a 55.8 mile diversion has been put in place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.15pm on Friday, 21 July, 2023, we were called to a report of a crash on the A85 near Dalmally.

“The road is currently closed between Dalmally and Tyndrum.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area.”
