iStockA driver has been taken to hospital following a rush-hour crash on the M8.
Officers were called to the scene of a crash involving one car around 6.15am on Monday near junction 30.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that traffic was restricted while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital to be checked over.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.15am on Monday, July 29, we were called to a road crash involving one car on the M8 westbound near junction 30.
“The driver was being taken to hospital to be checked over.”
