A driver was taken to hospital following a crash during rush hour on an expressway in Glasgow.

Police were called to the A814 Clydeside Expressway around 7.55am on Monday after receiving reports of a one-vehicle crash.

Emergency services attended and a driver was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be checked over.

Their current condition is unknown.

The road was shut for around one and a half hours following the collision but has since reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 7.55am on Monday, October 24, to a report of a one-car crash on the A814 Clydeside Expressway westbound.

“The driver was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be checked over.”
