Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident happened last week near Old Mill Road in Cambuslang.

A driver was left covered in shards of glass after an object was thrown through a moving train’s window in Glasgow.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident happened around 7pm on Tuesday, March 1, near Old Mill Road in Cambuslang.

The object was launched through the side window of the driver’s cab causing shards of glass to cover the driver inside.

British Transport Police officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or anyone with information that could assist their enquiries.

A spokesperson said: “Witnesses, or anyone with information, can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 484 of March 1, 2022.

“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
