Police are appealing for information after a man died following a single-car crash in Motherwell.

The collision happened around 1.10pm on Wednesday on Windmillhill Street at the junction with Airbles Road and involved a silver Toyota Corolla.

The driver, a 52-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1477 of Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
