A driver has been arrested after being caught with a massive drugs haul by plain clothes police officers.
The officers spotted a car being driver “erratically” on Stuart Street in East Kilbride around 2am on Friday morning.
The vehicle was stopped and the 48-year-old allegedly appeared to be under the influence.
A search of the vehicle uncovered 30 bags of cocaine, 28 ecstasy tablets, 17 bags of cannabis, 13 bags of LSD tablets, ten bags of Ketamine and £410 in cash.
Police say the drugs have an estimated street value of £3,000.
The driver allegedly tested positive for cocaine in a roadside drug test before he was arrested.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The male was arrested and taken to a police station. He was later released and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
