A second person has died following a car crash in Dumfries and Galloway earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to the A714 between Newton Stewart and Wigtown around 9.35am on June 3 following the crash involving a Volkswagen Golf and a Suzuki S-Cross.
Helen Flannighan, a 65-year-old passenger in the Suzuki, died at the scene.
The driver, 72-year-old Raymond Munro, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he died on June 15.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing, and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Lindsey Tait said: “Our thoughts are with Raymond’s family and friends. They have asked for privacy at what is a very difficult time for them.
“Our thoughts also remain with Helen’s family and friends.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances, and anyone who saw what happened or can assist with our investigation and has not already spoken to officers is asked to get in touch.”
“If you can help, please call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0087 of Wednesday, June 3, 2026.”
