A man has been airlifted to hospital following a one-car crash in Galloway.
Emergency services were called to the A714 near Wigtown around 8.35pm on Saturday following reports of a crash involving a silver Renault Megane.
A 26-year-old man, who was the only occupant of the car, was taken by air ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious injuries.
Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the crash.
Road policing sergeant David Kerr said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or the vehicle prior, and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“Additionally, I would appeal to anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
