A “doting” dad-of-three who died in hospital three weeks after a single-vehicle crash in North Lanarkshire has been named.
Jonathan Bruce from Cumbernauld died in hospital on Sunday, September 1 after a crash involving one car on the A8011 Glasgow Road in the town after 9pm on Saturday, August 17.
The 34-year-old, a husband and father to three children, has been described as a “great friend to everyone who knew him”.
A family statement released via Police Scotland read: “Jonny was a loving, caring husband, and a doting dad to his three children.
“He was loved by so many and a great friend to everyone who knew him.
“We ask for privacy at what is a very difficult time for us as we try and come to terms with our loss.”
Officers said enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and continue to appeal for information.
Road Policing Sergeant Ross Allison said: “Our thoughts are with Jonathan’s family and friends at this difficult time and we’ll continue to keep them updated as our investigations progress.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far.
“Anyone who has information or dashcam footage of the area around the time, and hasn’t spoken to police yet, please get in touch.”
