A dog has been seized by police after a woman was mauled in an East Renfrewshire street.
The victim suffered bites to her arms and torso in the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident happened in Cherrybank Gardens, Newton Mearns, on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said a report is being prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
A force spokeswoman said: “About 1.14pm on Tuesday, March 30, officers were called to the report of a woman being attacked by a dog in Cherrybank Gardens in Newton Mearns.
“As a result, the woman was taken to hospital with a number of bites to her arms and torso.
“A dog was seized by police and a report is being prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.”
