A dog attack in West Dunbartonshire has left a four-year-old seriously injured.
The boy required hospital treatment following the incident that took place on Duntocher’s Craigielea Road.
Police, who were called to the scene following the attack on Saturday evening, are investigating the incident in a bid to establish the full circumstances.
Emergency services were also in attendance and the child was treated for his injuries that medical staff describe as “serious, but not life threatening”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the incident.
He said: “On the evening of Saturday, 2 April, officers received a report of a four-year-old boy sustaining serious, but not life-threatening injuries, following an incident with a dog in the Craigielea Road area of Duntocher, Clydebank.
“We can confirm enquiries are ongoing.”
