Detectives investigating the murder of a woman at a flat in Glasgow have appealed for help from the public in catching those responsible.

Brodie MacGregor was pronounced dead by emergency services at a flat on Elmvale Street in the Springburn area around 10.15am on Monday morning.

The 23-year-old’s death is being treated as murder following a port-mortem.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who was in the area between 4.30am and 10.30am on Monday and saw anything suspicious.

An online portal has also been set up in a bid to encourage potential witnesses to share information regarding the death.

Detective chief inspector Lynsey Watters said: “Our thoughts remain with Brodie’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

“We are providing them with support as our investigation continues to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“We would again urge anyone who may have any information to get in touch. Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in establishing what happened to Brodie.

“A police presence remains in the Springburn area as our enquiries continue and I would encourage anyone with information or concerns to speak with these officers.
