An investigation has been launched after three dead snakes were discovered at a loch in Glasgow.
The Scottish SPCA were contacted after three deceased boa constrictors were found next to bags of rubbish at a fly-tipping spot near Carbeth Loch in Blanefield.
The charity has now asked for anyone with any information to come forward.
Mairi Wright, Scottish SPCA inspector, said: “The snakes were found at one of the entrances to Carbeth Huts next to Carbeth Loch.
“They were lying close together, next to bags of rubbish at a fly-tipping spot.
“We are keen to ascertain what happened to these snakes and how they came to be there.
“If anyone recognises these reptiles, please contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
