A cyclist is in hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.

The incident occurred at around 8.50am on March 16, on the city’s Royston Road.

Police confirmed the male cyclist had been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The extent of the man’s injuries are currently unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.50am on Thursday, March 16, police were called to a road crash involving a car and a cyclist on Royston Road, Glasgow.

“The male cyclist was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. No details on any injury.

“Enquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
