A cyclist is in a serious condition in hospital following a crash with a car beside the Mitchell Library in Glasgow on Sunday night.
At around 9pm, a serious crash occurred at the crossroad junction of North Street with its junction with Berkeley Street and Bath Street in the city centre.
The 24-year-old male cyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and reopened at around 5am on Monday, June 26, 2023.
Police are appealing for information. Officers are particularly keen to speak with anyone who assisted the cyclist following the incident or those who have dash-cams that may have recordings from around the time of the crash.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “I am appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact us. In particular, I am appealing to members of the public who assisted the cyclist following the incident, and anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
“In addition, I would ask any motorists, particularly with dash-cams, who were in and around that area to check the footage as it may have captured footage that could assist our enquiries.”
