A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a Hovis lorry in Glasgow.
The collision happened on Alexandra Parade at around 5.30pm on Wednesday.
The cyclist, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed that the driver of the lorry, a 50-year-old man, is to be reported in connection with a road traffic offence.
Hovis confirmed that one of its lorries was involved in the incident and said an investigation into the crash is under way.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a crash on Alexandra Parade involving a truck and a cyclist around 5.20pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
“Emergency services attended and the cyclist, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“The driver of the truck, a 50-year-old man, will be reported in connection with a road traffic offence.”
A spokesperson for Hovis said: “We are aware of an incident between a Hovis vehicle and a cyclist that took place in Glasgow on Wednesday 31.
“An internal investigation is underway to establish the cause of the incident and our thoughts are with the people involved.”
