A cyclist who was spotted riding on the M8 is set to appear in court after posing a “massive danger” to road users.
Police issued a warning after the rider was caught on the Kingston Bridge, reminding the public that pedestrians and pedal bikes are not allowed on motorways.
The force reminded the public that cycling or walking along the high-speed carriageways poses a massive danger to all road users.
Police warned that it will deal with any cyclist or pedestrian officers catch on a motorway “robustly”.
A social media post from Police Scotland revealed that the cyclist will face a day in court to “explain himself”.
