A crash has forced the closure of the M8 eastbound early on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to the collision near Junction 6 Newhouse shortly before 7am.
In an image from Traffic Scotland a lorry can two other vehicles can be seen stationary on the carriageway.
Both lanes were blocked causing a queue to form but traffic was able to pass.
Police closed both lanes and traffic was directed past using the on-slip.
Traffic Scotland warned of delays of around 25 minutes.
The road was reopened at around 7.20am.

All lanes are now running on the #M8 Eastbound at J6 following an earlier collision.
