Two-car crash causes rush-hour road closures on M74

Rush hour road closures are in place in parts of the M74 following a two-car crash.

Junction 14 southbound near Crawford in South Lanarkshire is currently shut off as emergency services attend to the collision.

Drivers are urged to use alternative routes.

Police Scotland said: “Around 4.25am on Thursday we were called to a two-vehicle crash on the A74 (M) near the junction for Moffat.

“The road is currently closed southbound and diversions are in place from junction 14.

“We would like to thank road users for their patience.”
