A CCTV image has been released as the search for a man who has been missing for ten days continues.
Corry Ferguson was last seen at a Spar store on Wheatley Road, Saltcoats, on the morning of Tuesday, March 1.
The 26-year-old has not been in touch with any friends or family since and his disappearance has been described as “totally out of character”.
Police say the “extreme” concern over his welfare is growing as they urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him or have any information on his whereabouts to contact them.
He is described as being around 6ft with a slim build and brown hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a black parka jacket, a green hooded top, grey jogging trousers, white trainers and a black baseball cap.
Officers investigating the case have now released CCTV footage and fresh images of Mr Ferguson in the hope that someone recognises him.
An air support unit has also been assisting in the search.
Inspector Barry McNaught said: “We are extremely concerned for Corry’s welfare as it is totally out of character for him to go missing and not to keep in contact with his family.
“If you have seen him, please get in touch.
“Specialist search advisors are supporting local officers in our searches and ongoing enquires in and around the Saltcoats area.
“We have also been assisted by our Air Support Unit and police dogs.
“Officers are also continuing to check CCTV footage from the town in case that will help their investigation.
“We are working to establish where Corry headed after he left the shop on Wheatley Road around 9.35am on Tuesday, March 1.
“I would ask anyone driving in or around that area with dash-cam footage or anyone with personal footage to contact us in case they have captured any details that may help us trace Corry.”
