Police say they are growing “increasingly concerned” for the welfare of a woman who has been missing for nearly three days.

Shona Biggins left a property in Greenacres Drive in the early hours of Monday morning and was last seen on Carnwadric Road around 12.45pm on the same day.

The 48-year-old has mobility issues and is known to use public transport.

Shona is described as around 5ft 2in tall with long fair hair. She is likely to be wearing a black knee-length puffer jacket, black leggings, and black and green ankle-length boots.

She can sometimes walk with a limp.

Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries in the Newlands, Auldhouse, Darnley, Pollok and Nitshill areas.

Chief Inspector James Friel said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Shona’s welfare, and it is vital that we trace her and make sure she is ok.

“We are appealing for members of the public who think they may have seen someone matching her description, perhaps walking with a limp, to please get in touch.

“Shona uses public transport at times, particularly the bus, and we would ask people to keep a look out for her and report any potential sightings to us.

“We would also appeal directly to Shona to please contact police so we can confirm you are safe and well.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0741 of October 21.
