A CCTV image hs been released as concerns grow for a missing Paisley woman.

Soung Nguyen, 49, disappeared Sunday morning at around 9.40am in the Calside area.

Police investigating her disappearance continue to review CCTV footage in efforts to trace her movements.

Officers are now asking the public in Glasgow to report any sightings of her as their latest enquiries establish she travelled to the city centre.

The 49-year-old was seen on CCTV in the Co-op store on Neilston Road in Paisley at 10.33am on Sunday. She then took the number 51 McGills bus at 10.42am and got off at 11:09am on Cross Arthurlie Street in Barrhead.

From here she took the number 3 McGills bus from Main Street in Barrhead and got off at 12.42 on Hope Street, near to Waterloo Street in Glasgow. The last sighting of her was at 13.09 on Argyle Street, at the junction with Union Street when she was on foot.

Sergeant Gordon Smith said: “Our enquiries are now focussing on the Glasgow area as we know that Soung travelled here on Sunday.

“She speaks Vietnamese with limited English and I would ask anyone who could have seen Soung, or spoken to her, to please come forward.”

She is described as being around 4ft11 with a slight build and was wearing black leggings, black socks and black sandals.

She initially had a pink hoody on however was last seen wearing a green jacket.

Those with information should call Police Scotland on 101.
