Concerns are growing for a missing man who disappeared two nights ago from Dumfries and Galloway.

Police are appealing for information as they look to establish the whereabouts of Adrian Knott.

The 51-year-old, known as Ade, was last seen at Gatehouse of Fleet at around 11pm on Sunday.

He is described as being around 6ft tall with a grey beard and bald head.

He wears black framed glasses, has a nose ring and tattoos on both hands. He is likely to be wearing a camouflage waterproof jacket and a brown fleece.

Constable Gavin Maxwell said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Adrian and would ask if anyone knows his whereabouts to get in touch.

“His vehicle was traced at Knocktinkle, Gatehouse of Fleet and extensive searches are ongoing in the area.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
