Missing 68-year-old last seen four days ago traced

A 68-year-old man who was last seen almost four days ago in North Ayrshire has been traced.

An appeal was launched after Derek Collins, from Stevenston, was last seen in Ardrossan around 11am on Monday and was subsequently reported missing on Wednesday.

Officers believed Derek may have travelled to the Glentrool area of Dumfries and Galloway, some 50 miles away.

On Thursday, police said Derek had been traced.
