Concern grows for missing 57-year-old woman from Rutherglen Police Scotland

Concerns are growing for a woman missing from Rutherglen following a confirmed sighting in Glasgow.

Michelle Conroy was last seen around 4pm on Saturday in Mossgiel Avenue in Rutherglen.

The 57-year-old is described as around 5ft 1 in height, with a slim build and fair shoulder length hair.

When last seen, she was wearing a white t-shirt, pink jogging trousers and a pink jumper draped over her shoulders.

Following extensive enquiries police confirmed a sighting of Ms Conroy around 5.55pm on Saturday in the Queen’s Park at Queen’s Drive area in Glasgow.

Officers are urging anyone who may know of the woman’s whereabouts to come forward adding that her family are “understandably concerned”.

Inspector Liam Byrson said: “It is extremely unusual for Michelle not to be in touch with her family and friends and as there has been no contact from her, they are understandably concerned.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Michelle or who may have information on her whereabouts to get in touch with us.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4156 of May 18, 2024.”
