Concern growing for missing woman, 61, as public urged to ‘check sheds’ Police Scotland

Concerns are growing for a woman who has gone missing in Renfrewshire.

Ann Mitchell was last seen around 12.20pm on Tuesday, May 14, in the Main Street area of Inverkip.

The 61-year-old is described as of slim build with shoulder length blonde hair and walks with a limp.

When last seen she was wearing a red jacket, black leggings and white trainers.

Police are growing “increasingly concerned” for Ann’s welfare and have urged the public to check any outbuildings or sheds in case she has sought shelter there.

Sergeant Sharon Crawford said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Ann’s welfare and are keen to trace her as soon as possible.

“We are particularly appealing for residents in the local area to check any outbuildings or sheds in case Ann has sought shelter there.

“Please also check any private CCTV or dashcam footage which may help us in tracing Ann.”

Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2015 of May 14, 2024.
