Concern is growing for the safety of a pensioner who disappeared from a hotel at Loch Lomond three days ago.

George Brown, 66, was reported missing from Bridge of Weir on Friday evening.

He was last seen around 6pm at the Cameron House Hotel in Loch Lomond.

It is believed George, who is known as Douglas, could have travelled to either Ayrshire or Dumbarton.

He is described as white, 6ft in height, medium build, with white receding hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey kilt jacket, grey kilt style waistcoat, a kilt, long black socks and black shoes.

Sergeant Sharon Crawford said: “We are concerned for George as time goes on and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. I would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him since 6pm on Friday to get in touch.

“Anyone who may have seen George or has any information on his whereabouts should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2649 of October 2.”
