Officers are appealing after a woman was assaulted in the Robert Burns Avenue area.

Clydebank: Woman injured in attack as police appeal for witnesses

Police have launched an urgent appeal after a woman was attacked in Clydebank by a man and woman.

The 41-year-old was assaulted in the Robert Burns Avenue area at around 4.15pm on Friday, April 26.

Police say she was targeted while walking next to a grass area near to Kirkoswald Drive. She attended hospital for treatment.

The man is described as white, aged early 20s, off medium build with light brown hair. He was wearing light-coloured clothing.

The woman is described as white, aged early 40s, of medium build with dark hair. She was wearing blue jeans.

They made off in the direction of Jean Armour Drive.

Police are urging witnesses to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Stuart Lindsay said: “Our investigation to trace those responsible is ongoing and we are asking anyone in the area at the time who may have seen what happened to get in touch.

“In addition, if you have private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could help our enquiries then please come forward.”
