A Glasgow bridge was cordoned off as the bomb squad removed a “suspicious” item.
Police received reports of an explosive device in the water at Dalmarnock Bridge on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers received the tip at 12.40pm and put a cordon in place around the scene as they conducted the removal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40pm on Wednesday, 15 December, officers were called to a report of ordnance found in the water at Dalmarnock bridge on Dalmarnock Road.
“Officers and Explosive Ordnance Disposal and the item has been safely removed.
“The road has since reopened.”
