Jurors have heard for the first time from one of the children said to be a victim of a sex abuse ring.
Seven men and four women face an indictment listing a total of 32 charges at the High Court in Glasgow.
The allegations involve four children and include rape, other sex offences and attempted murder.
It is alleged two of the children were made to take part in seances leading them to believe they could see “spirits and demons” and had “metamorphosed into animals”.
The child claimed they were forced to eat dog food, which made them feel “sick”.
They said: “Doggies eat with their mouths, so I had to eat like that.”
The court was played two recorded interviews of the child being interviewed by police.
Sitting beside their Peppa Pig toy, they said one of the 11 put them in a cupboard.
“She locked the door and I could not get out,” they told police.
Asked about the cupboard, the child said: “Dark and scary – beasties in it.
“That is what it is called – the beastie house.”
Asked why it was called that, the child told police: “Dark clouds come every night and day. It is very beastie. I do not like it.”
The 11 accused deny all of the charges against them.
The trial, before judge Lord Beckett, continues.
