CCTV images have been released of a man and a woman police wish to speak to following an assault at a train station in Ayr.

The incident occurred near Ayr train station around 7pm on Saturday, May 6.

The man is described as being white, aged mid 50’s, stocky heavy build, dark hair swiped to the side, facial hair, wearing a dark zip up jacket and blue jeans.

He also has a tattoo on the side of his neck, has a pierced ear and possibly speaks with an Irish accent.

The female is described as white, aged mid 50’s, short blonde hair, wearing a light denim jacket and jeans, white trainers, carried a black handbag and also possibly speaks with an Irish accent.
