Detectives are hunting a masked person who set a vehicle alight twice on the same day in Glasgow.
The first incident occurred around 5.15pm and again hours later around 10.55pm on Woodhill Road, Bishopbriggs on Saturday May 7.
The fires are believed to be targeted and officers believe both were carried out by a person dressed in dark clothing, with their face covered.
Their inquiries have also revealed that a small, light-coloured car was driving on Woodhill Road at the time of the second fire and had to stop and reverse to avoid driving past the flames.
Detective Inspector Craig McPhail said: “We are appealing for the driver of this small car to come forward and speak with officers as soon as possible. Even if they don’t believe the information they have is significant, it could prove useful to our enquiries.
“In addition to this individual, anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 4495 of 7 May. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
