Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was deliberately set alight near a primary school in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Leny Street near High Park Primary at around  8.40pm on Saturday, October 26, after reports of a Nissan Qashqai on fire.

There were no reported injuries following the incident.

Investigators have confirmed they are treating the blaze as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective constable Fraser McGill said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the fire to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”

Those with information are urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident 3468 of October 26, 2024.
