An appeal has been launched after a cannabis farm worth nearly half a million pounds was recovered in East Kilbride.
Police discovered the cultivation, comprising approximately 810 plants with an estimated street value of £486,000, after searching an industrial unit in Carron Place on Tuesday.
Officers have revealed that enquiries into the find are ongoing and have appealed for anyone with any information to come forward.
Sergeant Graham Reid, East Kilbride Police Station, said: “This was a significant recovery of controlled drugs which will not make on to the streets.
“We are committed to tackling the supply of drugs and would appeal to the public to contact police if they have any information or concerns about drug supply.
“Please call police via 101 or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
