A cannabis farm worth an estimated £144,000 has been seized during a search at a property in Glasgow’s Southside.

Officers made the discovery at a property on Grantley Gardens, Shawlands, around 5.40pm on Monday.

The significant cultivation is believed to have a potential street value of over £144,000.

The force confirmed that enquiries to trace those connected with the farm are ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward.

Detective inspector David Bell said: “This is a substantial recovery and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Drugs cause misery in our communities and we will use all resources at our disposal to disrupt the cultivation and sale of illegal substances. Information provided by the public is vital in helping us continue to do this.
