More than 100 people attended a candle-lit vigil in memory of Ugandan asylum seeker Mercy Baguma.
The mum’s body was found in a Glasgow flat last month, with her one-year-old son, Adriel, alone in his cot.
The remembrance event was held at Elder Park in Govan on Saturday at 3pm, where people who knew Mercy gathered.
A tribute to Ms Baguma, 34, said: “In loving memory of Mercy. Daughter, mum, sister, friend, forever in our hearts.”
Ms Baguma’s body was found by police on Saturday, August 22, and has since been flown to Uganda for burial.
A fundraiser organised following her death was used to pay for her repatriation, charity Positive Action in Housing said.
It also said the remaining funds, totalling £75,000, are to be placed in a trust for Adriel.
Ms Baguma’s death has sparked calls for reform of the asylum system in the UK.
