Camera equipment worth around £50,000 has been stolen in Glasgow.

The high-value equipment was taken from Oakbank Industrial Estate in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Various models, including Sony, Fuji, Sigma and Canon, were stolen after a shutter was forced open and glass door smashed during the break-in that took place at around 1am.

Police are now investigating the theft and have appealed to the public for information.

Constable John Whitelaw, of Govan Police Station, said: “We are asking anyone with information, or anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area at the time of the incident, to please get in touch as you may be able to assist with our enquiries.”
